I am skeptical of groups.  Don’t get me wrong.  I belong to many – but usually on the periphery.  I like to belong – but only to a certain extent, and then I need my space.  I realize this frustrates a lot of friends – and even my family – to whom I am completely dedicated – but somehow I even check out from them as well for periods of time.

I value individuals.  I value living in the moment.  I value unique experiences.  I value “flying under the radar” – and yet, I am immensely gregarious, overly loud and often pretty certain I am right – though deep down, I know that I truly know nothing.

So why Ewe Bee U?  Why Ewes?  Why Bees?  Let’s be practical first.  YoubeYou, UbeU, YoubeU, etc. were all “taken” as domain names – some of them were for sale for $50,000 – hahaha, yup, $50,000. Absurd, right?  So what other words sounded like You and Be?  Well, Ewe and Bee.  And then it all suddenly clicked.  Sheep are notoriously stupid, flock animals that need a lot of shepherding and bees are pollinators that can pack a punch with their sting when necessary – they help propagate and make life flourish.  Ewe Bee U was born as a place to “Stand Out” amidst the stupidity we often find ourselves in  – but also a place to propagate new ideas, make life flourish with unique perspectives and sting ourselves awake to the ridiculousness, the absurd, the beauty, the wonder and the possibilities that life reveals to us each and every day.

Ewe Bee U. Be the Black Sheep.  Be the Ugly Duckling.  Laugh at Yourself.  Think Deeply.  Expose the Absurd.  Guard the Sacred.  Seek Beauty. Get Dirty.  Get Real. Celebrate the Moment.  Celebrate the Possibility.  Celebrate the Individual.

Whatever you do – don’t settle for the status quo.  Just Be You.  I'll Be Me.
